Hayasat-1
Bazoomq’s First Satellite Mission
About the Project
Launched on December 1, 2023, from Vandenberg Space Force Base aboard a Falcon-9 rocket, Hayasat-1 stands as a landmark in Armenia’s space journey. Designed, built, and developed by Bazoomq Space Research Laboratory and CSIE (Center for Scientific Innovation and Education), this 1U CubeSat is Armenia’s first homegrown satellite. The project took off in January 2022, driven by the ambition to establish Armenia’s independent presence in space technology.
Impact & Role
Hayasat-1 is not just another satellite; it’s a symbol of Armenia’s growing capability in space engineering.
It represents a shift towards self-reliance in aerospace research, proving that Armenian engineers can design, develop, and operate advanced space technology.
